Cats are loved by many M’sians, and a lot of these cats are adopted or purchased to be kept as house pets. Once assimilated into a household, most pets usually become like family. This story is very much like that. It is about a cat named Debab, who is loved by a boy’s mother so much, it is treated like a child!

According to an article by NST, Helmi, who goes by the handle @NerdKid_94 recently shared screenshots of his conversation with his mom regarding their cat and how he should make it comfortable while the house underwent renovation, since she wasn’t at home.

M'sian Boy's Post Of His Mum Pampering Their Cat Goes Viral As Netizens Can Relate - World Of Buzz 2

It started off with Helmi sending a picture of their cat sleeping on the staircase to his mom. In reply, his mom requested that he take Debab to the room or the TV room, as she was afraid it would fall. She also told him to be sure to switch on the fan.

Then he sent a second picture and his mom asked him why Debab didn’t have a pillow, and when Helmi sent a third picture of Debab with a pillow, she asked him to change the pillow to Debab’s favourite pillow instead.

When Helmi thought he had finally gotten it right, he sent the fourth picture. However, his mom wasn’t done yet. She then asked him to fix Debab’s sleeping position so that he wouldn’t be in pain before the conversation finally came to an end.

Helmi also noted that Debab was actually a stray from the drain which was adopted into the family five years ago.

“Just in case y’all wondering, Debab is not a store-bought cat. We do not even know his breed. We picked him up from the drain in front of the house five years ago (six years come April). Debab basically kinda chose us as he has been loving and comfortable with us ever since he joined the family”, he said.

His post has since then garnered thousands of likes and retweets based on other netizens’ shared cat experiences with him. These are what two users said:

“We have never turned off the fan for him. And we will turn on the air cond for him at night because if he sweats, he will have rashes,” @ImZawani shared.

“My mom also refers to our cat as ‘adik’. She even says ‘tidorlah sayang’ to him while rocking him,” @nrainnatasha said.

Don’t worry we’re all thinking the same thing, ain’t that one lucky cat!
