With all the chatter about how there aren’t enough jobs for everyone, it may seem strange to see a well-known and successful global firm like McDonald’s resort to drastic tactics to staff one of their outlets. What the fast-food company is giving out to candidates who make it through the employment process astounds us!

Facebook user Ahmad Asyraf recently shared with WORLD OF BUZZ a McDonald’s hiring advertisement that he saw at their branch located in KL Sentral.

Believe it or not, the iconic Golden Arches restaurant is giving away a free iPhone 13 Pro Max to new recruits who complete the hiring procedure, finish three months of employment and meet the job’s criteria!

Usually, when a company wishes to entice potential employees, they would give out the usual goodie bags with notebooks, stationeries and merchandise.

But that’s not all!

Ahmad also mentioned that back in April, the same outlet was offering two different motorcycles (Yamaha Y15ZR & Honda RSX), plus a bunch of pricey electronic gadgets which include:

  • Huawei Notebook
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab

Similarly as the above, candidates not only have to pass through the hiring process, but can only expect to receive these free items after they have completed 3 months of employment and having met the job’s criteria.

Is this too good to be true? WORLD OF BUZZ was able to reach out to the hiring manager, who confirms the story, and one must wonder what are the reasons for these drastic measures to entice talent.

You could be asking what the criteria are, and why the outlet is using this way to hire people. Are Generation Z employees fussy about their jobs? Or are there more surprises in store for those who are interested?

WORLD OF BUZZ  will be meeting up with the hiring manager soon for their story – stay tuned for more updates!

In the meantime, in case you’re interested to be part of the team, do reach out to the number in the picture!
