According to Sin Chew Daily, the man who allegedly threw his kids off the bridge before jumping off was suspected to have developed a mental illness after he’s gotten Covid-19 last year.

The authorities managed to track down his wife and she is now aiding the police with the investigation.

The deceased’s wife is a waitress at a restaurant in Kepong and when she got home at around 10pm that night, she couldn’t find her husband and her kids.

She tried calling him multiple times but the call wouldn’t get through.

However, at around 5am, she received a call from the husband as he bid his goodbyes to her saying that he is on his way to see God, before ending the call. She couldn’t reach him after that phone call.

She told the police that her husband has been acting weird since he had gotten Covid-19 last year and would often mumble to himself.

“He has mentioned many times that he is going to kill himself and will meet God soon,” she shared.

We hope the deceased has found peace and our heartfelt condolences to all parties involved. If you need help or you’re in need of a listening ear, please call Befrienders KL at 03-76272929.
