Scams are getting pretty out of hand in today’s era. Some people are willing to throw their moral values out the window just to make a quick buck. From Internet scams to physical ones, car related scams seem to be one of the most prevalent in Malaysia.

Last month a Facebook user shared with us how people would purposely put oil on roads to cause accidents. And when it happens, they’d offer toll services for you.

This time round, another user shared with us that some motorcyclists would pretend to get into an accident just to try to force a few hundred bucks out of you.

Here’s he’s PSA (public service announcement) to Malaysians. He writes,

“Dear friends, if you live in Wangsa Maju or near to Genting Klang or setapak please take note,ATTENTION

Last night about 1am 10/4/16 i was driving alone at Genting Klang when a motorist kicked my back door and then he pretend to fell at the rear. Because the place is very remote and I was alone, I felt something was wrong, so i do not stop. I planned to go to the police station directly. But the motorist had stopped in front of me and block my car. I had no choice but to get off from my car.

The man said “you hit and run. But it will be a great sin if he made a police report” , so he asked me to pay for the medical bill (although he suffered from no injuries) & motorbike repair.

He keep intimidating me & wanted to hit me. He said I would be in very big trouble if he made a police report. Without fear, i told him i decided to make police report too. After hearing this, he wanted my ID card but i refused to give.

I said you may report using my car no plate and then i quickly drove my car away from that guy…..

On next day, my cousin heard about my story and she told me that the night before my incident, the very same situation occurred to her in wangsa maju at 12am. She was alone at that time too…..

I was panicking too much at that time, and I only have below details of this guy .

His motorbike plate number WKT 1493 he wear a silver helmet is a Middle-aged man chinese, not wearing glasses, height about 167cm, middle size, untidy clothes. Motorbike is blue in color, motorbike headlights is loose (he will say due to bad hit from me), bike sit also burst.

If you really met this guy please be careful & do not give him money or ic not even a snap, go to make police report directly.

Please share this to your friend and family to avoid more victims!”
