Sometimes, emotions can bring out the worst in us and this is one unfortunate example.

On Sunday morning (26 May), a 45-year-old man was arrested because he allegedly stabbed his ex-wife’s new husband to death. He also reportedly injured his former spouse while both the victims were asleep. This incident happened at one of their relative’s home in Sa Kaew province, Thailand.

According to The Star, the suspect who has been identified as Thongdee Surakhan confessed to local police that he committed the crime because he was fuelled by jealousy. He has since been charged for premeditated murder and attempted murder.

It was reported that the suspect allegedly barged into the house of one of the victim’s relatives in Tambon Wattana Nakhon at about 1am and proceeded to stab the newlyweds while they were sound asleep. The victims of the attack have been identified as Phromma Chaiyan, 50, and Praiwan Surakhan, 44. Phromma unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital whereas Praiwan was wounded by her ex-husband.

She has since identified her ex-husband Thongdee as the assailant. She and Thongdee have two children together and had separated 6 months ago, according to local police.

Yikes, that’s one crazy ex! We hope he gets punished appropriately for murdering someone. We know it can be tough when the one you love finds someone new but let’s not resort to violence and take things into our own hands this way. RIP.
