Being born in Malaysia, we are blessed with amazing culture diversity, and it shows in our spectrum of Malaysian skin tone, festivities and most importantly, food! Most travellers can’t even believe how we have the three major races and of course, the cool natives from Sabah and Sarawak, as part of our 1Malaysia identity!
However, because of the diverse culture, a lot of times, certain topics are understandably more sensitive than others.
A Facebook page recently shared a tweet from a user known as 50SofLOL. And warning, the tweet may trigger certain people!
The tweet wrote, “To non-Muslims, if it’s already 7.00pm, please give way to Muslims to cut the queue at McD or KFC. Offer them a table or seat.”

Of course, the tweet got Malaysians into a frenzy. While there were mixed reactions about the post, the majority expressed theirĀ disapproval.
Epically, fellow Muslims had the bestĀ response to the rude tweet, highlighting how this is Malaysia and we practice tolerance, not demand it.Ā Some made sure to keep the OP in check and bluntlyĀ told the OP off without holding back. #NoFilter

OneĀ cheeky netizen even provided a win-win solution to this supposed issue, saying,Ā “Easy only. If a non-Muslim is at the front of the queue, just order for them as well, then eat together at the same table. Besttt!!!”

Of course, the post served as a good reminder for non-Muslims to be more courteous of fellow Muslims who are fasting and berbuka puasaĀ as well. So, let us all live in tolerance and next time if you’re lining up at McD or KFC, do what this guy recommended,Ā tolong order sekaliĀ andĀ makan sama-samaĀ lah!
