It’s a mad mad world out there, especially for us girls. But this story is like a movie come to life.

A woman’s story of how she was attacked and almost raped by two men armed with knives in Penampang, Sabah recently went viral.

Alice Lien Hua, who was traveling alone, said she felt that she was being followed by two men on a motorcycle. Bothered, Alice pulled over to give them way hoping they’d drive pass but unfortunately, the men stopped and told her to roll her window down.

Now here’s where the tragedy takes an interesting twist.

Instead of staying in her car, Alice got out to face the two armed men.

Alice mentioned that the men were demanding for money. When she couldn’t oblige, one man dragged her into the bushes while the other attempted to take her bag from her car.

According to local Sabah blogs, she miraculously managed to defend herself. She landed blows on her attackers and even rammed into them with her car. The attackers were rendered unconscious and are now in the hospital.

After the commotion, the woman contacted a friend that works in the Criminal Investigation Department of Inanam in Kota Kinabalu. They discovered that the two men were illegal migrants with no identification documents.

Alice went to make a police report immediately while the suspects were taken to a local hospital in Luyang.

When Kelab Info Malaysia shared the news and Alice was identified, it went viral on social media with statements revealing that she was a former martial arts exponent who represented Sabah in competitions.

Alice took to Facebook asking people if they think she’d be charged for injuring the men. However, the majority had nothing but praises for her.

A few hours later, Alice made another post on Facebook saying:

“Everything has been taken care of. I am liberated. (Let’s) keep this for your teaching and awareness. No laws that complicate. Thanks for the support!”

The story is without a doubt amazing. However, shortly after the stories were circulated online heavily by local Malay portals, it was taken down. Alice’s post on her own profile was also subsequently deleted.

Netizens couldn’t help but question the authenticity of the story, while some wondered if she deleted the post for the safety of her own.

The Star later confirmed the story to be fake. But judging from this photo that was shared online, I’m sure we could’ve all deduced it for ourselves.

Not the best doctored image huh?

Regardless, perhaps the story is a fair reminder for females to be more wary of their surroundings. Men too ok! Syukur Malaysia masih aman right?
