Going to a book store to get a new book to read is a relaxing and an enlightening experience for book lovers. You’d browse the aisles, pick up a book and read the description at the back on what to expect in the book itself.

But for one Malaysian, he decided to buy a book that took him completely by surprise.

@nabilfikran10 took to his Twitter page to showcase a novel he had bought titled ‘MEOW’ by M.E. OWMEOW. That’s right, folks, the author is a cat and what’s most surprising is the contents of the book.

He humorously wrote, “I regret buying this book, no wonder it was discounted.”

Images that accompanied his tweet showed how the book only contains one word: MEOW. Yes, the book is literally filled with a variation of meows, and punctuation.

Based on the description by Google Books, MEOW was written for cats from the perspective of a cat, hence is why it only contains one word that can mean anything in the cat language, which is ‘meow’.

And we believe this is the author!

Ko_mon took to their Twitter profile back in 2018 to showcase the cat behind the book.

“Presentation of his new book will be made the following Friday (you can get an autograph!),” they wrote.

We honestly do wish we could speak Cat, because we’re curious to know what exactly is written in the book, but it looks like we have to settle for whatever our imaginations can come up with and let cats have their secret fun.

And hey, if cats can write books then you can definitely do whatever it is you set your mind to.

Kudos, M. E. OWMEOW, we look forward to the next installment of your book.
