Kind Staff in Kelantan Bank Provide Exceptional Service to Elderly Stroke Patient

In society, there are certain rules or conditions that need to be followed for the smooth functioning of our day to day activities.

For example, presenting the documents required when withdrawing money from a bank account, registering for a university and so forth.

However, these rules should be flexible, as exemplified by the staff at this CIMB Bank branch in Machang, Kelantan.

In a viral TikTok video by @s..nass, she talks about the gracious treatment the staff at the bank gave her and her mom when they visited.

Nass was accompanying her mom, who suffered a stroke, to withdraw money from her account when they realised they had forgotten to bring her mom’s IC. They only brought a copy of the IC.

“To go back and collect the IC would take too long. Almost 2 hours,” said Nass in the video.

She added that they had to travel 2 hours to Machang as her mother lives in Dabong, Kuala Krai and there are no CIMB Bank outlets there.

Luckily, the bank staff were kind enough to allow them to proceed with the transaction and even went the extra mile to ease the process for them. One bank officer can be seen going up to Nass’ mother, who was still sitting in the car, to get her fingerprint.

“Yes, it is important to bring the IC, but because my mother is old and her house is far, we just used a copy of her IC. We’re not trying to deceive anyone,” Nass stated in the comments section of her video.

She also shared that the bank officer probably let them withdraw their money because she could see that Nass’ mother looked the same both in the copy of the IC and in person.

“If it wasn’t the same, confirm cannot pass.“

At the end of the video, she thanks all the staff at CIMB Machang for easing the procedure. She also advises everyone to always be humble and to speak courteously when put in these situations. This way, people are more inclined to help.
