Kind M’sian E-Hailing Driver Carries Passenger’s Bags & Waits Until She’s Safely Home After Slipped Disc Treatment

A Malaysian e-hailing driver is winning the hearts of many after going the extra mile to care for a passenger who had just been discharged from the hospital following treatment for a slipped disc.

Taking to Threads, Hannan (@hansyifa) shared how the driver showed exceptional hospitality, making sure she was comfortable and safely inside her home before driving away.

E-hailing uncle praised for his kindness despite being unwell

According to Hannan, the uncle went out of his way to make sure she was comfortable throughout the journey. Knowing she was feeling under the weather, he drove carefully and even apologised every time they went over a speed bump.

When they arrived at her home, he carried her heavy luggage and laptop bag all the way inside the gate. When Hannan tried to help, he insisted on carrying everything himself.

“Every time we went over a speed bump, you’d apologise. Then you even carried my incredibly heavy luggage and laptop bag all the way inside the gate. 🥹 I tried to help, but you actually scolded me for it,” she wrote.

Hannan said what touched her most was that the uncle showed her so much kindness even though he wasn’t feeling well himself and had a bad cough.

“Before leaving, he told me to take care and waited until I had gone inside before driving off. Please stay healthy, Uncle, and don’t forget to visit a clinic to get that cough checked.”

 

“Thank you for touching my heart”

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Hannan said the uncle’s thoughtful gesture truly touched her heart and made her day after she had spent five days in the hospital.

“To Uncle, thank you for touching my heart. May you be blessed with abundant sustenance and long lasting good health. I just wanted to share your kindness so that more people won’t hesitate to do good, even if it’s just a simple gesture.

To everyone reading this, always choose kindness and appreciate the kindness shown to you, no matter how small it may seem. You never know which small act of kindness God will value the most,” she said.

Grab has also since responded to the incident, expressing its appreciation for the uncle’s thoughtful gesture.

“We were deeply touched by the kindness and care shown by the uncle. We hope his good deeds are rewarded with good health and that everything in his life is made easier. We’ll also share your appreciation with the GrabDriver team so that the uncle’s kindness and excellent service can receive the recognition he truly deserves. Thank you,” the post read.
