India saw a rather harrowing murder due to greed and money just recently.

A woman shot her husband dead and stuffed his 6-foot-3-inches tall body in a suitcase and left it inside the man’s own BMW car in Mohali, India.

Seerat Kaur confessed to brutally murdering Ekam Singh Dhillon with an unlicensed gun belonging to the man on March 18, 2017, Malaysian Digest reported.

Of course, the atrocious woman had help in all this. She had her brother and his friend’s help in stuffing the poor man’s body in the bag. They even planned on throwing the bag into a canal.

Aside from the two men, police also confirmed that Seerat had help from her own mother, two other relatives, and an auto-rickshaw driver who helped carry the massive body-filled bag into the luxury car.

Apparently, Ekam had ‘harassed’ Seerat for money. And so she thought shooting him dead would have been a great idea?!

In her defense, she said,

“There used to be arguments between us and he also beat me up at times, following which I used to remain under stress.”

But the landlord of their rented home, Manoj Kumar said that he had never witnessed any arguing between the couple.

He said,

“He used to leave for his work around 10 am and return at 6PM or 7PM. He was a nice person. He always used to drop his kids to school.”

Of course, Ekam’s family was astounded when they heard of this shocking news. The deceased’s brother, Darshan Singh, explained that Ekam had never mentioned anything before about being tortured by his in-laws.

Darshan did add that Seerat was a ‘too demanding wife’.

Jaspal Singh, Ekam’s father, on the other hand was completely broken by the news of his son’s death. The father said that just before Ekam was murdered, they met up.

“I could sense something wrong was going to happen, but did not anticipate that Ekam will be murdered. He (Ekam) had been disturbed for the past few days. He was looking too depressed.”

“When I tried to ask him the reason for his depression, Ekam started crying. He told me that he had not eaten food for the last two days.

“Ekam added that he was too scared of Seerat as she and her mother Jaswinder Kaur had been threatening him with dire consequences.”

However, Ekam left before Jaspal could get anymore information from him. The distraught father also told the press that Seerat was a very demanding woman.

He lamented,

“She was always pressuring Ekam to earn more money.

“She did not let him settle in any job or business. He was doing well in tea estates in Assam, but after the marriage, she forced him to leave the job and start his own business.

“She always wanted to lead a lavish lifestyle. He started his stone crushers but she was yet not happy. I cannot say what could be the exact motive behind killing Ekam, but I am sure that Seerat, her brother and mother have done it.”

During the investigation, Seerat still had the audacity to lie about the incident. Police revealed that Seerat continuously changed her statement, so much so that they had no choice but to use a lie detector on her.

Here’s the gruesome discovery of the man’s body in the suitcase:

Although greed and money brings out the worst in everyone, it is still extremely shocking to see someone brutally murdering their own partner like this.

What could possible have been going through her head?!
