A recent video has touched the hearts of many Malaysians after UMNO Youth Chief Datuk Dr Akmal Saleh decided to fulfil the wish of an elderly woman known as Mak Cik Rosna.

Taking to his Facebook page, Dr Akmal, who also serves as a Merlimau ADUN and Melaka EXCO member, recalled the moment he fulfilled the wish after being informed by the 65-year-old woman’s child about the poor condition of her toilet.

Dr Akmal gifts the elderly Mak Cik a newly built indoor toilet

In the video, a conversation between Mak Cik Rosna’s child and Dr Akmal revealed that their mother’s toilet was located far outside the house and was a squatting toilet.

“I have applied to have a toilet built inside the house. It’s a bit difficult for her to go outside to use the toilet,” the woman’s child explained.

Dr Akmal then took matters into his own hands and decided to “gift” Mak Cik Rosna with a newly built indoor toilet fitted with a seated toilet.

In his caption, Dr Akmal recalled the moment and shared how heartbroken he felt upon learning about the poor condition of her toilet.

“After reaching the age of 65, Mak Cik Rosna finally got an indoor toilet. It was heartbreaking to receive the message from her child about the very poor condition of their mother’s toilet. I’m sorry, Mak Cik. I didn’t know about the hardship you’ve been facing all this time. I sincerely apologise once again.”
