It takes A LOT for someone to restrict access to her life but everyone has a breaking point.
For Malaysian influencer @diorlying, she decided to end her relationship with her younger brother, Ansen, who found “comfort” in gambling, theft, scamming, and borrowing money from loan sharks.
“This is my younger brother, who I thought has repented and changed. If he ever finds you and asks to borrow money, please do not trust him at all. He’s a completely changed person,” Dior remarked in her post.
Dior said she reflected a lot before exposing her family’s dirty laundry online, but decided to share the matter to alert people about his younger brother, who would come up with “sad stories” to convince others to lend him money, only for him to escape with the money.
“He told others he needed to pay the college fees for his sister, or the medical fees for his brother.”
Chance after chance, and tragedy after tragedy, Dior has reached her breaking point and decided not to tolerate Ansen anymore, who, according to her, started gambling at a very young age.
“You betrayed my trust and you even scammed your girlfriend’s family!”
Dior revealed that Ansen went to the extent of borrowing money from loan sharks, which almost caused her sister to get kidnapped at school as leverage. The addiction was so bad that Ansen stole his parents’ gold to pawn and gamble.
“I still remember that on the day I received this news, I was filming a show. The host asked my father what was his favorite gift, and he said it was the gold chain he received on Father’s Day. Ansen ended up pawning that gold chain on the same day.”
“I’m done taking responsibility for you”
In her lengthy Instagram post, Dior made it clear that she is done with Ansen, and is adamant about ending the brother-sister relationship due to the extreme anxiety that the family members have been feeling.
“Every day, I have to guess whether someone will go to my sister’s store to mess up, and whether the loan sharks will come to my door like before. I don’t want anyone to message me and ask me for money! I don’t want to think if anyone will come and make a scene during my performance.”
Dior then sent his brother a last message and said,
“Take care of yourself. I’m not afraid of embarrassment. I’m more worried about my family’s safety.”
We don’t know if it’s too late to mend the broken relationships, but we hope Ansen will be able to turn over a new leaf.
