Thailand is famed for its plethora of sumptuous street food which people normally enjoy by the roadside, but this Thai woman had a rather appalling encounter when she sat down to enjoy her lunch at one of the stalls in Chonburi’s Phanat Nikhom Market on Sunday.

Kapong Pang shared her experience of eating noodles accompanied by hundreds of cockroaches climbing up on the wall beside her.

According to Coconuts, she snapped some photos of those disgusting, creepy-crawlies to post on social media, which quickly went viral as cockroaches are the stuff of nightmares for many people. Just seeing such a huge bunch would make me run for the hills!

Despite the number of horrendous bugs surrounding her, she surprisingly finished her delicious meal.

Kapong amusingly said, “This is the most f*cked up dining experience of my life. Sorry for using profanity. While I was eating my delicious noodles, an army of cockroaches, rats and centipedes crawled out of the drains. I was disgusted, but I was hungry.”

“I kept on eating! Who cares! I ate while watching cockroaches on the wall. So freaking delicious!”

Users commended her on her ‘bravery’ to nonchalantly sit there and continue eating. I HONESTLY would’ve lost my appetite.

But while the photo has went viral, Kapong said that she didn’t mean to destroy the street vendor’s reputation, as the pests crawling out were not a result of the stall’s hygiene. Instead, it was due to the recent heavy rains in the city that forced those hidden creepy-crawlies to emerge from their dark hiding places.

Just looking at those images is making my skin crawl. What would you have done?
