The targeted subsidy for RON95 petrol is expected to be implemented by the end of this month, in line with the promise made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Home Minister, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, took to his Facebook page to share a clip informing that the promise will still be fulfilled as proof of the government’s commitment towards the welfare of the people.

“InshaAllah, the Prime Minister has fulfilled his promise to Malaysians. By the end of this month, the price of RON95 petrol will drop to RM1.99 per litre through targeted subsidies. He is a man of his word. ‘A man of his word’ and every promise made will be implemented for Malaysians,” the Home Minister said.

Urgently check the conditions of your MyKad to ensure it can be used for the RON95 subsidy

Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who is also the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Secretary-General, also reminded the public to urgently check the conditions of their MyKad chips to ensure it is working before the implementation of the targeted subsidy begins.

“If the chip is damaged or cannot be read, don’t worry, you can go straight to any National Registration Department (JPN) office or counter nationwide. InshaAllah, it will be done on the same day. Easy and fast!”

“Don’t wait until the last minute. Do check early so that you can benefit from this special petrol subsidy for Malaysians,” he added.

Video of a new device for checking the RON95 targeted subsidy implementation went viral

Prior to this, content creator Eric See-To – Lim Sian See took to his Facebook page to showcase a new device used for the implementation of the targeted subsidy for RON95 petrol. In his post, petrol station operators and staff could be seen being trained on how to use the device.
