We live in a competitive world, thus it is inevitable to feel resentment towards our competition. However, a person who hates can create a bad reputation for themselves; likewise, hate politics can apparently give a bad rep for the nation, as said by our beloved PM.

Recently, our Prime Minister Najib Razak, said that “hate politics do not reflect well on the good and normal values of the society”, as reported Bernama.

Instead, he said that the country needs “leaders who practise healthy politics, that will look after the welfare of the people and put the country’s interests first”. This statement sounds legit!

“The people are the top priority of Umno and Barisan Nasional,” said Najib

“As the government, we do not give false promises but we do our best for the people. For instance, on the 1st of Jan we abolished toll collection at four toll plazas, implemented the Skim Amanah Dana Anak Malaysia 2050 (Adam50) savings scheme (for newly born Malaysians) and extended aid to fishermen, smallholders and school children,” he explained.

The toll plazas where toll collection was eliminated are the two tolls along Federal Highway in the Klang Valley, a toll at Bukit Kayu Hitam (North-South Expressway) and the Eastern Dispersal Link in Johor.

To the people who’s a regular on these roads, yay no toll!

He added that the aid to provide free education is, however, not included. Nevertheless, he further reaffirmed that our security, multiracial harmony, championing Islam, people’s welfare, and the economy are all going very well; plus, the infrastructure projects are also well-handled.

“The whole of Malaysia, from Perlis to Sabah, is being transformed under UMNO, this is what we do; we don’t make empty promises or engage in hate politics, badmouth or criticise the country with harsh words,” he said.

The Prime Minister made this comment at an event that presented schooling aid for 2,000 less fortunate pupils in the form of uniforms, bags and shoes worth RM180.

So, what do you think of hate politics staining our country’s harmonious image, as suggested by the Prime Minister?
