The festive season is upon us again!

Whenever the holiday season is around, one of the things that gets us excited is the happening events that will pop up around town. From the festive aesthetic decor to the lively ambience, these events will definitely amp up our holiday spirit. And speaking of holiday events, we recently found out about a super interesting collab between a local trend-setting brand with a global powerhouse…

Yup, we’re talking about the exclusive collab between Gigi Coffee and Coach for the ‘Coach on the Move’ Holiday event!

Yes, this is really happening! Isn’t it awesome to see a Malaysian-favourite brand collab with an international industry giant?! ?

In conjunction with the festive season, Gigi Coffee has partnered with Coach for the ‘Coach on the Move’ holiday event where Gigi Coffee has curated two special drinks that will be available exclusively at the event! Cannot find anywhere else tau!

The event already kicked off at APW Bangsar on 2nd December and will run until the 4th of December. Just check out this video to see how fun the event is and you’ll definitely want to join in the party! ?

Our WORLD OF BUZZ team was also fortunate enough to get the first sneak peek of the special drinks and here is our review!

Here are the exclusive drinks you need to try!

  • Golden Cocoa Latte (cold) – RM18

Paying homage to Coach’s signature usage of prestigious and dark colours, the Golden Cocoa Latte brings an indulgent twist to the crowd-favourite chocolate drink by incorporating the rich taste of cocoa. This non-caffeinated drink even comes with chocolate wafers on top, gold flakes and a rich chocolate drizzle to give it that perfect comforting taste alongside a glamorous, holiday-ready look!

Our verdict: We love how the taste of cocoa is almost reminiscent of a brownie, which makes perfect sense because one of the most famous Holiday drinks for this season is hot cocoa. Plus, since the drink is non-caffeinated, it can be enjoyed by all chocolate lovers and non-coffee drinkers alike!

  • Cotton Candy Mocha (cold) – RM20

The festive White Christmas in New York is what everybody dreams of experiencing and that is exactly what this drink aims to encapsulate! From the vibrant colours to the adventurous flavours, the Cotton Candy Mocha comprises Gigi Coffee’s delicious mocha coffee with cotton candy-flavoured whipped cream. To top it off, the drink also comes with adorable macaron pieces and dark chocolate shavings to capture that Holiday mood.

Our verdict: The pairing of mocha with the cotton candy whipped cream is certainly a delightful twist which goes surprisingly well together! However, since the drink is on the sweeter side, we would recommend this for those who have a sweet tooth or if you love aesthetically-pleasing drinks to post on the ‘Gram.

Apart from their special drinks, you can also find other fan-favourites being served at the event such as:

  • Buttercream Latte
  • Caffe Latte
  • Americano

Another point worth noting about the drinks is that they will all come with specially-designed cup sleeves and paper bags in three different festive colours and patterns. These special packaging will be available all throughout the event so make sure to get it while you can!

If you’re bummed because you can’t make it to APW Bangsar for the event this 2nd to 4th December, fret not! The ‘Coach on the Move’ event will also be travelling to other parts of Malaysia all throughout the month so you might just be able to catch it at a venue near you! Here are the next stops for this event that you should look out for:

  • 9 – 11 December: Johor Premium Outlet @ Johor
  • 16 – 18 December: Hin Bus Depot @ Penang
  • 23 – 25 December: IOI City Mall @ Putrajaya

Plus, you can also experience other exciting offerings at the event such as the holiday-themed decorations (which will be perfect for some festive OOTD shots!), other local brand collaborations like Chuck’s and even customise your own Rexy figurine (Coach’s official mascot)! We can’t think of a better way to kickstart the festive vibes than with this event so make sure to head down to APW Bangsar this weekend or visit the event on any of the dates listed above.

For more information, you can follow them on Instagram and Facebook to get the latest updates on their promos or offerings.
