Recently, a video surfaced depicting the horrifying incident of a massive glass door coming off its hinges and falling right onto a 3-year-old child.

This shocking event took place on November 6 in a shopping mall located in Guangdong, China. The toddler was seen touching the glass door right before walking in after her grandmother.

All of a sudden, the door starts leaning towards the child. The elder lady turned back in time to notice the falling glass panel but could not pull the child out nor stop it from landing on her.

She had tried to stop it from crashing onto the toddler but it was apparent in the video how heavy the door must’ve been!

In her attempt to help her granddaughter, the elder woman was knocked back by the glass door too – hitting her leg in the process.

Immediately after, the grandmother got up and tried to lift the door off the 3-year-old. The little girl fell unconscious right at the scene and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

The child miraculously survived the incident but did sustain multiple fractures on her skull. It is unclear what her condition is and what other injuries she might have endured. There were no reports on the grandmother’s state.

According to Shanghai Daily, investigations are on-going as to what caused this incident.
