The recent shortage of certain food, soaring costs as well as the nation’s ongoing recovery after the spread of the Covid-19 virus has made life very difficult for many Malaysians.

This is even more applicable to people who are struggling such as the B40 community as well as students.

However, it seems that the goodwill of Malaysians have remained strong despite the trying times.

Recently, a food stall owner in Kafe N24 Streetcafe UTM, Skudai, Johor went viral as the stall owner had left a goodwilled notice on how struggling university students can eat there for free.

In a photo shared by a netizen on Twitter, the food stall owner who is an elderly woman, posted a note telling students to just eat there if they have been hungry or do not have enough to buy food.

The Twitter user wrote, “This aunty is so good. Hopefully she is blessed with opportunities.”

M’sians flocked to support the stall owner

The post has gone viral and currently sits on over 39,400 likes and 21,500 shares. The comments section is filled with praises by netizens.

Some Malaysians also took the effort to get in touch with the stall owner herself to ask how they can help contribute.

One user shared a conversation that he had with the aunty.

In the conversation, the Twitter user sent the number attached in the notice a picture of the stall.

The aunty went on to confirm that it is indeed her number and her stall. The user proceeded to ask for the bank account details of the aunty so that they could help to contribute to her cause by sending her some money.

Netizens commended her goodwill

Meanwhile, plenty of users took to the comments section to commend her for her selflessness. “This is what humanity is all about,” said a user.

“This is an example of rakyat jaga rakyat.”
