How many of us tip our food delivery riders or drivers after they deliver us our meals? These food delivery riders risk their lives on a daily basis, especially during this pandemic. Honestly speaking, they deserve so much more recognition for their hard work.

A netizen, Fida’iy Fikri (@fdyfkr), took on his Twitter to share how a food delivery rider requested him for a tip of 50 sen. He decided to post the conversation online as he felt that this should be a reminder to everyone to share a little of what we have as it could make a significant difference to someone else’s life.

In the screenshot, the rider asked Fikri, “Can you give me 50 sen tips later?”

To which Fikri then replied, “Can bro, it’s not a big deal. I share what I have.”

But instead of giving the rider the amount the rider requested, he gave him RM10 instead!

Fikri explained to World of Buzz that usually, he would make it a point to tip all delivery riders when he is buying food online.

“But this time, this guy asked for a tip of just 50 sen. I used to face financial difficulties before. So when he asked for just 50 sen, I knew he must have really needed it,” Firkri told World of Buzz.

Fikri also advises the public by saying that it is not wrong for us to help others even if the value isn’t all that much.

“When people are having a hard time during this pandemic, it is not wrong for us to help each other. Today we help someone in need, tomorrow we may be the ones who need help and it will be our turn to seek help from someone who would be willing to help us,” he said.

Kudos to you Fikri!
