On Labour Day, PM Muhyiddin has announced that the MCO will be loosened a little by allowing almost all businesses and economic sectors to operate today (4th May) – on one condition. That condition is to obey all the SOPs set by the government.

Public transportation companies such as RapidKL have resumed their normal operating times with a few amends. In line with the government SOPs, they have stationed staff members to check the temperature of the passengers and to control the movement of the public into the LRT, BRT, etc.

One of their other measures is to put up a poster on social distancing and red tape on the floor and seats to show the 1-meter distance. This is done so that people can be reminded of the importance of social distancing in breaking the chain of infection.

However, someone has decided that they did not want to see the poster and proceeded to tear it off from the seat, presumably to sit on it. The red tape is in clear view!

Rapid KL has taken to their Facebook to voice out their concern over this irresponsible act,

“The poster is there for a reason and the reason is for safety. Cooperate with us. Please don’t tear it down. We are in this together.”

They continued by urging the public to be responsible Malaysians by following the SOPs set by the government. #KitaJagaKita

This is definitely a very irresponsible act considering the situation that we are in right now. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments!
