Sometime, we just need a little push from the people around us to motivate us to get a job done, and politicians are no different!

Yesterday, ex-Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for Putrajaya, Dr. Noraishah Mydin Abdul-Aziz took to Twitter to ask Putrajaya MP, Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, for a favour.

She tweeted, “I received complaints from Putrajaya residents whom I met this morning at PPUKM. I hope that YB can clean the fans at this eatery in Presinct 9 as soon as possible ? . Thank you for your concern Sir.”

She even tagged the Putrajaya MP’s official Twitter account to ensure that he gets  her message.

She also included a photo of the fans she was referring to and they looked so nasty that they were completely black!

Cleaned in less than 24 hours

In less than 24 hours after posting her tweet, Dr Noraishah’s request was heeded. Below her tweet, Putrajaya Corp (PPJ) replied their response saying, “PPJ has cleaned the aforementioned fans. Thank you.”

They also included some photos of a few men cleaning the fans.

Netizens shower praise

In the same Twitter thread, many netizens expressed disgust at the condition of the fans.

“Disgusting…what is Putrajaya Corp’s maintenance culture?”

Some also blasted Dr Noraishah for being petty. They said that issues such as the cleanliness of the fan is not within an MP’s scope. It should just be the stall owner’s responsibility.

“It’s right that you loss. Even cleaning the fan is an MP’s job? Can’t the vendors there do minor things like this?

And on a more positive note, some netizens also expressed amusement at how the rakyat can now directly interact with politicans on social media to have their problems heard.
