If every political party would’ve put away ALL of their differences aside and come together, Malaysia would probably already have a functioning government by now.

Perikatan Nasional (PN) made it clear that they will not work with Pakatan Harapan (PH) under any circumstances, despite the Agong’s suggestion.

Meanwhile, Barisan Nasional (BN) has also said the same thing about working with the party led by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, whilst some of the MPs from BN even expressed that they would rather be sacked than work with PH.

Amidst all the chaos, Najib Razak took the opportunity to express what he thought.

In a Facebook post this morning (November 23), Najib said that whatever happens, BN is bound to get blamed for any decisions made in the near future.Β

“Work with PH, supporters of PN will blame BN. Work with PN, supporters of PH will blame BN. Stay as opposition, Malaysians will blame BN for not having a government by now.”

Najib’s post this morning was filled with the word “salah” (wrong), as the former Prime Minister reflected on the fate of BN at the moment. He believes that BN is bound to be in the wrong regardless of the decision it makes.

“If we choose PH, we’re breaching the ‘No Anwar, No DAP’ principle. If we choose PN, we’re going against the ‘No Bersatu’ principle.”

While the party is shrouded with tough choices, Najib said that the party is currently struggling to come up with the right decision. He hopes that the party will be able to resolve the issues as soon as possible.

At the end of his post, Najib joked about his absence in the outside world.

“Thank goodness Najib isn’t here anymore. Or else it’ll be his fault again.”

Just yesterday, BN released a statement and insisted that they will stay as the opposition to check and balance the new government. The Agong has also summoned 30 of BN’s MPs this morning, and while the talks are ongoing, the wait for a government and a Prime Minister continues.
