She surely didn’t deserve this!

A husband in Jawa Tengah, Indonesia physically abused his wife just because she did not dress up and apply makeup when she accompanied him to an event with his friends, which apparently made him embarrassed, as reported by Detik News.

This was however not the first time that Ma, 23, was abused by her husband, Akhmad Khumaidi, 31. Tired of being a victim to her own husband, she decided to lodge a police report on Wednesday (23 January), after the unfortunate incident happened on Saturday (19 January).

“Ma accompanied Akhmad to an event. On the way home, she was verbally abused by him for embarrassing him in front of his friends for not knowing how to dress up,” stated district police Iptu Akrom.

She claims to have been repeatedly stabbed in the knee with a key and hit in the head with a helmet, which caused her nose to bleed.

“The husband even kicked the victim’s head, which explains the bruises on her left eyebrow, nose, and both eyelids, apart from wounds on her left leg from being stabbed with a key,” Akrom added.

When questioned, Akhmad confessed, claiming that his abusive behaviour was caused by him feeling ashamed of his wife not looking good enough for him.

His outrageous act led him to be charged and now he could face a jail term of 5 years or a maximum fine of 15 million rupiah (approx. RM4,386).
