Election in Tioman Suspended Following the Death of PN’s Candidate Hours Before GE15

A few days back, the nation was shocked by the death of a Pakatan Harapan’s candidate in Padang Serai, Kedah, M.Karupaiya. Sadly and shockingly, another death happened this morning (November 19), just a few hours before the election commenced. 

Perikatan Nasional’s candidate for Tioman, Pahang, Yunus Ramli passed away at 3:30am due to heart complications, and his death was confirmed by Pahang Pas deputy commissioner Andansura Rabu. Yunus breathed his last while being treated at the Rompin Hospital.

Berita Harian also reported that Yunus collapsed and remained unconscious before he was rushed to the hospital.

Following his death, the election in Tioman has been postponed, and Andansura said that they are currently waiting for further instructions from the Election Commission (EC).

Rest in peace, Yunus Ramli. To the voters out there, do stay safe and follow the necessary steps and protocols to ensure a smooth process of GE15.
