Just days ago, Uncle Kentang made Malaysians aware of a poor, wheelchair-bound aunty that was left to fend for herself in a storage-like room in KL.

Thankfully, there is now better news to share, in regards to the aunty’s well being.

Kuan Chee Heng, also affectionately known as Uncle Kentang, took to his Facebook profile to share an update on the aunty. It seems as though she has been temporarily moved to a home in SS1, Petaling Jaya.

He wrote, “Por por (grandma) temporarily placed at home in SS1, Petaling Jaya. Por por cannot take care of herself. We placed her in a home first.”

The reason why the placement is only temporary is because Uncle Kentang is looking for a home that is willing to take in the aunty for free.

“Meanwhile, we will seek any home that can take her in for free. Hopefully, there is (one). Her stay here will cost RM1,200 per month. We will do crowdfunding later to support her stay. At least she will have proper meals for the time being,” he added.

It’s so nice to see the aunty smile, now that her horrible living conditions are behind her. At this age, she truly deserves better and we’re so grateful for Uncle Kentang for helping her.
