Eight-Month-Old Baby Girl Part Of New Covid-19 Cases In Malaysia, Says Health DG
The number of Covid-19 cases in Malaysia may be decreasing but there are still victims suffering under the infection of the virus.
One of which is an eight-month-old little girl.
As according to The Star, the Covid-19 case in the Women and Children Hospital in Likas, Sabah involves the little toddler.
Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the case was detected when the little girl was undergoing a pre-surgical screening. The ministry is currently trying to determine the source of the infection.
“We just received the report and now the progress is on-going in terms of looking into the cause as well as an investigation,” he said. He added that for every positive Covid-19 case, an acute test will be conducted.
“We will screen the family and close contacts, who have been exposed to the patient.”
We genuinely hope that the little girl and her family come out on top throughout this difficult time.
