As the country goes into a partial lock-down, there still seem to be a handful of people that are just too stubborn to listen. Their actions, irresponsible and careless, could contribute horrendous repercussions.

In fact, according to a report by Malay Mail, Malaysia could suffer a what has been described as a tsunami-like third wave of Covid-19 infections if Malaysians do not follow social distancing guidelines. Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah made the prediction, asking people to stay at home.

Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah

“Today is the first day of our ‘movement restriction order’. In simple words ‘please stay at home’ and distance yourself from others. We have a small window of opportunity to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission. Please help MoH to play your part, as each and every one of us has the responsibility to take all the precautionary measures to keep ourselves and families safe”.

“Failure is not an option here, otherwise, we might face the 3rd wave of the virus. The next one will be as big as a tsunami, more so if we have a lackadaisical attitude. I plead to all Malaysians, please take this movement restriction order seriously. Stay at home”, he wrote on his Facebook page earlier today.

Since the PM’s announcement for the country to go into partial lock-down beginning today (18th March) till the 31st of March, all public gatherings of every kind have been banned, as a means to curb the virus.

Taking into regards the warnings from the health director-general, I say let us all do our part in healing the world, before its too late. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments!
