“Dad bods are in trend?!” – Confused M’sian Doesn’t Understand Why Women Prefer Men With Dad Bods

Everyone’s body types are different and it’s always distasteful to judge someone based on their body. Social media has also severely impacted the way we look at physical appearance and this has caused many people to feel insecure about themselves when they see their own body.

The ‘standard’ beauty in society now would include ladies having a slim figure while men would have to be tall and buff. That being said, this Malaysian is surprised to find out that many women would actually prefer dad bods.

“Why do women nowadays actually like a guy who has a small belly?”

Following his post, many netizens have answered his question and some even mentioned that this is something that they’ve observed as well.

“I realised that as you walk down the street, you’ll see pretty women having boyfriends who have dad bods!”

“It feels safer! Plus, when I’m mad I can playfully bite him or when my hands feel bored I could touch his belly.”

This netizen shared that when she first had feelings for the guy, he didn’t have a belly. Later on, as time passes, he starts having a belly but she’s still very much in love with him.

“Really? Women like dad bods? The women I know all like guys who look like Jackson Wang.”
