China-Based M’sian Chef Proudly Shares How a Couple Requested Nasi Lemak & Teh Tarik for Their Wedding

Malaysian food has always been a cut above the rest. So much so that even people in foreign countries seem to prefer Malaysian food during special occasions!

A Malaysian restaurant owner and chef in China, Chef Shah (@secretflavorshanghai), took to his TikTok page to showcase how a Chinese couple had arranged for him to serve Malaysian food at their wedding in Shanghai!

Chef Shah wrote, “Even Chinese people who are getting married want to eat Malaysian food.”

 

He prepared nasi lemak and other Malaysian staples

In his video, he showcased the various food items he served at the couple’s wedding, which was held at the couple’s stunning home.

The food items included kuihs such as Karipap, Kuih Lapis and more, as well as Nasi Lemak with various side dishes.

In true Malaysian fashion, Chef Shah also served Air Sirap and Teh Tarik as the drinks for the day.

Chef Shah’s spread at the Chinese couple’s wedding left Malaysians beaming with pride.
