Last week, CCTV footage of a brawl breaking out in an operation room became viral among netizens in China.

According to the Shanghaiist, the incident allegedly took place in a hospital in Lankao county, China, involving a female nurse and a male doctor.

In the video, the nurse and the doctor were arguing with each other in the beginning, but it quickly escalated to a full-on physical fight not long after that.

The doctor can be seen angrily throwing his glove at the nurse, causing her to punch him in the face. Shortly after that, he punched her several times in the head until she collapsed, after which he left the operation room.

Amidst the chaos, the other medical staff were trying to break up the fight while one doctor appeared to continue the surgery calmly.

Soon after the footage surfaced online, police investigated the incident. According to local police, the fight took place after the surgery was done and the patient was wheeled out of the room.

However, this statement was met with disbelief among a huge majority of Chinese netizens because according to them, the CCTV footage appears to clearly indicate that the surgery was still going on. Got evidence ok!

According to AsiaOne, it was also later revealed that the doctor and nurse were allegedly in a romantic relationship with each other.

Their fight started when the doctor accused her of violating protocol. When she said she didn’t violate anything, that’s when the argument began.

The hospital’s management have decided to overlook the incident since it’s a personal dispute between the two medical workers.

This is why lah you don’t date someone from the same company!
