A 47-year-old man left all his belongings on Penang Second Bridge before falling into the sea

According to a report by China Press, this incident occurred at kilometre 19 of the Penang Second Bridge, from Batu Maung heading towards Batu Kawan.

The Bayan Baru Fire and Rescue Department (BBP) received a report in regards to this incident at about 7:48 AM this morning (13 November) and immediately rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations.

When they arrived at the scene, they found that the 47-year-old man had abandoned his motorcycle and personal belongings at the section of the bridge where he had fallen into the sea.

Fall 5

Search and rescue operations are currently underway in the area where he fell, though, unfortunately, he has yet to be found.

Not the first case this month

This marks the third person who had abandoned their belongings, either on the Penang Bridge or the Penang Second Bridge, before falling into the waters in November.

Thankfully, the second person was rescued by good samaritans who were fishing in the area.
