No more yellings from your mum to clean up for Raya this year!

With Hari Raya just around the corner, most of you would’ve probably gotten a nagging from your parents to get rid of your junk and clean up your rooms. Despite Raya being celebrated this year under new norms, your parents will make sure the house is gleaming as if they were having an open house.

While it’s easy to get rid of your tiny scraps and bits around the house, what about those big appliances or cabinets that are not functional and just sit around being an eyesore? Well, Facebook user Azura Backar recently re-introduced the iClean Selangor app that helps you get rid of large household items on short notice!

Cleanselangor

The user-friendly app that was launched in 2016 allows users to fill in their personal information and upload pictures of items they want to dispose of, after which your complaint will be recorded and monitored.

“I lodged my complaint on Saturday and they came on Monday with a lorry to take all the items away!”

Now, the best part of this service is that it’s completely FREE OF CHARGE! This app is an initiative by KDEB Waste Management which was established with the objective to manage the domestic waste collection and public cleansing services in Selangor.

According to their website, KDEBWM is currently serving the followings 12 municipalities :
  1. Majlis Perbandaran Klang (“MPK”)
  2. Majlis Perbandaran Selayang (“MPS”)
  3. Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (“MPAJ”)
  4. Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat (“MPKL”)
  5. Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (“MPKj”)
  6. Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (“MBPJ”)
  7. Majlis Perbandaran Sepang (“MPSp”)
  8. Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor (“MDHS”)
  9. Majlis Daerah Sabak Bernam (“MDSB”)
  10. Majlis Daerah Kuala Selangor (“MDKS”)
  11. Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya (“MBSJ”)
  12. Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (“MBSA”)

Hopefully, Selangorians will stop throwing their trash in inappropriate places now that they’re aware of this extremely helpful app. You can download this app from Google Playstore and Apple Appstore.

Selangorians, let us know if you’ll be trying out this app!
