All Govt Staff Must Now Exercise 15 Minutes Every Day to Encourage Healthy Lifestyle
Whether we do it or not, we all know that exercise is one of the fundamentals of healthy living. However, we probably give the excuse that we don’t have the time for it. Well, it looks like that’s no excuse for our Malaysian government. Aside from working hard for Malaysia every day, every ministry will be working hard on improving their health too!
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said that the cabinet has agreed to the proposal of having all ministries start their day with a 15-minute exercise. According to The Star, the programme will be called X-Break, where exercise sessions will be held for the staff of each ministry either in the morning or evening.

“This proposal was agreed by all the ministers recently. We proposed 15 minutes each day, either in the morning or evening, but it is flexible to each ministry,” he told reporters at the Big Walk active lifestyle campaign launch yesterday (3 April).
“Some ministries are already doing it, but we will provide a guideline for all.”

This new requirement was probably implemented after Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad proposed last year that all private sector staff and government departments be required to exercise for 15 minutes.
I guess he wants all his government workers to live as long as him.
What a great example the government has set for all of us! What do you think of this proposal? Let us know in the comments below!
