The South Korean agency behind multiple successful K-pop groups, including BIGBANG and Blackpink, YG Entertainment, will be heading to Singapore soon as part of their global auditions to scout for potential trainees who will then undergo a rigorous system to become actors or K-pop idols next month.

The Singapore round of auditions will be taking place from November 14 to 16 at Orchard Central Mall. Those looking to be the next K-pop star will need to pre-register here by November 5. Then, you’ll need to wait for a confirmation email from YG Entertainment, which will have details of their individual audition time.

Applicants can choose to audition in one of the following categories:

  • Vocal
  • Rap
  • Dance
  • Appearance

However, it should be noted that applicants will need to be born between 2004 and 2012, with parental consent required for those under 14 years old.

The audition tour will also go to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in December to continue its search.

This isn’t the first time that the agency has looked upon South East Asia for its next big talent. Just last year, the agency had come to Malaysia along with other neighbouring countries in search of its next K-pop star.

Will you be going? Let us know in the comments.
