The very same week Sam Ke Ting was freed from her charges of accidentally running over 8 basikal lajak teenagers, new videos of basikal lajak kids are showing up already!

Recently MyWatch exposed a group of basikal lajak kids dangerously posing stunts on the dimly lighted streets of Ampang on Twitter. They weren’t only endangering themselves but also other road users.

Thanks to the swift action of authorities, the HMPV Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Unit (BSPT) in Ampang Jaya monitored Tasek Tambahan and successfully apprehended individuals that performed the stunt around the area.

It’s good to know authorities are looking at these things more seriously now as it poses a huge social issue!!!

Are you seeing this? How can they ride on a bike the size of a lamb?!

All of the boys, who are around the age of 11 to 15 years old, were taken to BSPT station in Ampang Jaya and each received a ticket for riding a bicycle without any breaks or bell.

The tickets were filed under the 42(1)(a) Road Traffic Rules 1959 while all of the bicycles were seized under section 112(3) Road Transport Act 1987.

What scares us more is the way that the kids behaved as if they didn’t care about the news at all. Multiple videos of basikal lajak stuntmen circulated all over social media showing how much the kids enjoyed ‘conquering’ highways and busy roads.

Here’s another one:

“Today we are shook with the news about the woman who was released from all charges because she accidentally hit and killed 8 basikal lajak kids two years ago. Do you think the parents informed their kids about it? Just look at these kids’ behavior, they blocked the whole road. The video was taken around my housing area.”

Ugh! When will this end! We know that the police are working hard on this matter at the moment so hopefully this fad would be over ASAP.
