Dogs are intelligent beings who are able to notice the feelings of people around them.
In this instance, a Chow Chow was so scared and regretful of an accidental injury he had caused on his owner that he checked up on him every hour.
In a post on the Facebook group Woofing, Icho Song from the Philippines told the group about his experience with his Chow Chow, Moose.
On 20 December, Icho was watching a show on Netflix and Moose came over to ask for a scratch from him. However, Moose lost his balance and accidentally hit Icho’s right eye. Icho was in tremendous pain that he screamed. He was then rushed to the nearest ophthalmologist.
Icho was told that a layer of his cornea was torn, luckily, it was not a very deep wound and he has medication prescribed to him. When he got home, Moose was very afraid as he had caused harm to Icho. After coaxing him several times, Moose gingerly walked out and placed his head on Icho’s lap. Icho proceeded to scratch and hug him while telling him that it’s okay and everything was alright.
Icho also has another dog, a Shih Tzu by the name of Oreo. Oreo, at that time, was very mad at Moose to the point that Icho had to intervene. He then told Oreo that he was fine and what happened is an accident. Oreo then clung onto its owner.
While Icho was in bed, Moose came by every hour to check on him. Icho has said that he is not mad as he knows that this is an accident and he still loves Moose a lot. As of now, his eye is healing!
This is definitely a cute story! We hope that Icho will be able to recover quickly!
