“Ministry of Education (MOE) extends its condolences”

A special committee has been formed to ensure that the stabbing case at a school in Selangor is investigated thoroughly, fairly, and with full transparency, according to Sinar Harian.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek confirmed that the suspect has been detained by the police and will cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation.

She added that counsellors and guidance teachers have been mobilised to provide psychosocial support to students, teachers, and the entire school community.

“MOE extends its condolences to the family of the student who passed away. We hope they are given strength and patience during this difficult time,” she said.

PDRM confirms no racial elements were involved

Sinar Harian also reported that the Selangor government has pledged to step up safety measures in all schools following the tragic incident.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said he’s been in touch with the Selangor Police Chief, who confirmed the investigation is ongoing and that the case does not involve any racial elements.

Amirudin added that the police will continue probing the case and keep the public updated, while the state government will work with the police, MOE, and local communities to ensure schools remain safe for all students.

“As a father with a daughter, I can’t imagine what the victim’s family is going through. My condolences go out to them, and I hope they find strength during this difficult time,” he said.
