Malaysians recently expressed their dissatisfaction after Ramadan bazaar vendors apologised for raising their prices this year.
Since then, many have encountered dishonest vendors that sell food that don’t coordinate with what they’re marketing such as the customer who bought a murtabak from a Kedah Ramadan bazaar only to discover that it’s only full of onions.
Now, another netizen, Nadia, has taken to her TikTok account to showcase what may very well be a new variation of Roti John, the Roti John Tunnel, which is basically hollow on the inside.
She wrote, “Roti John Menora Tunnel (a highway tunnel in Perak)”.
Looks can be deceiving!
In her posting, the Roti John could be seen seemingly fully packed.
Considering the fact that Roti John is an omelette sandwich that’s supposed to be sloppily filled with meat, onions, vegetables and more, you would think that it would fall apart the moment she picked it up, right? WRONG.
Upon picking up a piece of the Roti John, Nadia discovered it to be completely hollow in the middle, almost like there’s a tunnel inside of it.
Considering the fact that many of these Ramadan bazaar food items are priced quite high, we genuinely hope that these vendors avoid being dishonest with what they serve and provide customers with dishes worthy of the prices.
