Tables are hard to come by in this restaurant and having to wait to be seated is a norm here. Its rightly so, as they serve among the best banana leaf rice in town and is pretty much well known among the locals and expats alike. Their side dishes such as the deep fried chilli chicken are top notch and the fried bitter gourd is addictive – which nobody can resist. The lassies are really refreshing too and goes very well with the banana leaf meal. Although it is a little pricey here, their excellent service and amazing food certainly does make up for it.

Kanna

With over three decades of experience in serving banana leaf rice, you can only expect the best from them (though they have replaced the actual leaf with just a green paper now). Their choice of food ranges from marinated seafood to mutton curry, fried squid, fish cutlets, deep fried chicken and an assortment of vegetable dishes. The best part is, you’ll get to flood your rice with their complementary ‘kari ketam’ (crab curry) which taste heavenly. The only word we can describe them isĀ PERFECT! The price here is a little pricey though which isĀ almost as similar toĀ Sri Nirwana Maju.
