The Perak Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) had to rush to Kuala Kangsar Hospital yesterday (30 December 2022) to help an elderly male patient with a rather awkward and weird injury. Get this, the 72-year-old man had a ring stuck to his penis and was in incredible pain that he rushed to the hospital by himself to ask for assistance.

As reported by Astro Awani, a spokesperson for the Perak JBPM said that the department received an emergency call from the Kuala Kangsar Hospital at 7.41pm yesterday. Firefighters were then deployed to the hospital to help remove the ring from the man’s private part.

The JBPM spokesperson elaborated,

“Firefighters from the JBPM Kuala Kangsar station rushed to the location and found an elderly man with a ring stuck to his penis. The operation commander then instructed for the ring to be cut using a specialised ring cutter.”

The whole operation took around 10 minutes and ended at around 8.07pm yesterday. However, the circumstances which led the elderly man to that emergency situation were not elaborated on and it’s best to keep it that way because that’s not something any of us wants to know about!
