The incident happened yesterday (May 19), and the local police received a report about the matter around 10:30 am Malaysian time. Firefighters were also deployed to the scene, where both unconscious men were lying on the ground. They were taken to the hospital, but they were pronounced dead upon arrival.

Preliminary investigation shows that the 70-year-old man was a resident of the 44-storey building. The details of the incident, including the cause of the fall, are still being investigated by the local police. A passerby called emergency services after hearing a loud noise and seeing a man collapse while riding a bicycle. Police also confirmed that the cyclist was 59 years old from Ichihara, about 7 hours away from Osaka.

Additionally, the man who fell was also not wearing any shoes. The incident occurred roughly 400 metres west of Osaka Metro’s Tenjinbashisuji-Rokuchome Station in an area with many apartments, reported MBS News and The Japan Times.

The impact of the fall was severe, which is shown by the bicycle of the 50-year-old victim that was damaged. Bloodstains were also found around the bicycle.
