2yo Boy Falls to Death from 7th Floor of KL Apartment After Climbing onto Sofa in Corridor

A 2-year-old boy fell to his death from the 7th floor of an apartment in Presint 9, Putrajaya, yesterday (May 17).

According to reports by Berita Harian and Sin Chew, Putrajaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Aidi Sham Mohamed, said the police received a report about the boy’s death at around 2:24 pm from a medical officer at Putrajaya Hospital.

“They said they had received the case of a two-year-old boy covered in blood who was brought in by his father,” Aidi said.

The boy is believed to have fallen from the apartment after climbing onto an abandoned sofa in the corridor.

He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead at around 1:30 pm by medical personnel. As of the time of writing (May 18), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is still investigating the incident to determine the full details.
