We all love heading out with our gang for a fun night of drinks and dancing. Who doesn’t? After all, it’s a good chance to see each other and catch up with those whom we haven’t seen in a while. Of course, we all know how these nights often give us many potential awesome stories to tell too the next morning.

But, there’s definitely going to be things that can really ‘potong stim’ in the midst of (or even before!) your epic night out. Here are just some of the things that can really annoy us when we’ve got the perfect night out planned with the gang (or so we think). See if you can relate to these!

1. When you ‘pakat’ to go at a certain time but you know that’s not gonna happen

Yeap, we’ve all been there. You’re so hyped up already and you’re just raring to go but because of the notorious ‘Malaysian timing’, you know everyone will be AT LEAST 30 minutes late – no matter how much you emphasise saying, “Guys, PLEASE don’t be late this time.” Brace yourself for all the excuses, traffic jam being numero uno!

2. When your friend FFK (bails) at the last minute

Just when you’re getting excited to finally catch up with your buddies whom you haven’t seen in aeons, there’s always that one friend who will call and cancel due to some random excuse. “Bae needs me” ,“Don’t have transport lah” or “Sorry, something ‘urgent’ popped up last minute”. You know the drill. *insert eye roll emoji*

If you don’t want to come or really can’t make it, then you should just say so lah rather than get everyone’s hopes up…

3. When you realise you’ve got no cash and have to stop at the ATM

As most of us would know, you should always have cash on you for a night out (in any case your cards don’t work for some reason). As is the case of Malaysia, at about midnight, debit cards usually won’t work during this ‘maintenance hour’ and hence, you’ll need cash to make things happen.

Which is why it can get really annoying when you’re out of cash and have to make that extra effort to head to an ATM to withdraw money at some point. It’s worth it though, since we can avoid problems like having to borrow from friends or being stranded somewhere with no moolah.

4. That one kiamsiap (stingy) friend who never wants to pay their share of the bill

Yeap, we all know this friend. They somehow always try to weasel their way out of paying for their meal or drinks. Sometimes, they even go as far as to ‘siam’ to the washroom (aka avoiding the bill by going MIA)!

The worst part? They are the ones who usually drink the most. Freeloader alert!

5. When you want to drink some more but need to ‘tahan’ the waiter to open your bottle cap

If you’re going for a night out, then pre-drinks is another good opportunity to bond and catch up with your squad. It’s quite important, as it can set the mood for the entire night too.

However, just when you think you can keep the good vibes going and reach for another bottle in the bucket you ordered, you find that you need to catch the attention of the waiter. Aiseh, so ma fan.

We can definitely relate and if this happens to you a lot, well, we’ve got some great news for you!

That’s because Carlsberg’s Smooth Draught now comes with a new Pop Cap, and it’s here to make your life that much easier! No more having to worry about the hassle of using a bottle opener or getting someone to open it for you. Now you can enjoy a smooth draught beer in a bottle, anytime, anywhere!

Here’s how to POP a Smooth Draught:
