3 male students from a high school in Muar, Johor, were expelled following investigations into an incident involving indecent AI-generated images of female students.

According to a report by China Press, the school explained that the move to expel the students was in accordance with their regulations and that they have a “zero tolerance” stance on such behaviour.

The 3 students were found to have used artificial intelligence (AI) software to superimpose the heads of several female students onto indecent images, with some of the images having circulated online.

Police reports have been filed

The school had held a meeting with the parents of the students involved, where the parents were informed that they would handle the matter according to their regulations. They also encouraged the victims to file police reports.

At least 2 female students who were victimised filed reports with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), which led to the male students being summoned by the police for questioning.

The principal of the school confirmed this matter and shared that the school had launched an investigation after learning of the rumours of the incident on Monday (1 December).

The parents of the male students subsequently accepted the decision to have their children expelled.

The principal of the school emphasised that such behaviour will not be tolerated and reiterated their legal and ethical responsibilities regarding internet usage, and the importance of respecting one another.

WORLD OF BUZZ has since reached out to the school and the Muar District Police for comment, but has yet to hear back.
