When a relationship is over, often the dumpee is left with a broken heart and tries their best to reconcile with the dumper. Some of us would go to great lengths to get an ex back! This woman from southwestern China decided to hire an online relationship counselling service that specialises in mending broken relationships because she couldn’t let go of her ex.

According to SCMP, the woman from Chengdu, Sichuan paid 7,000 yuan (RM4,320) to the company in April to buy their three-month package. She said that the company had allegedly advertised prior about how they are able to help customers woo back their former partners.

In addition, the service would help advise her on how to develop social skills, improve her communication skills, control her emotions and teach her to have a more mature mindset. However, she was disappointed when her improved “skills” failed to win back her ex and hence, she demanded for a refund from the company.

When asked, the woman said that her ex had dumped her because she was too immature and did not suit his professional image. “[My ex-boyfriend] manages his own business and is a more mature type. He said we weren’t well suited because I am too immature,” she added.

To add insult to injury, she was even more heartbroken when she found out that her ex had already gotten married one month after she signed for the service and was not interested in getting back together with her. Never be a homewrecker, folks!

The company explained that there were no guaranteed results and they actually focused more on giving advice on love and relationships. Liu, a company representative explained that the package was not aimed specifically at reconciliation with her ex-boyfriend.

Liu said, “While the contract included a clause saying the company would help couples get over a crisis and achieve reunification, it did not guarantee a refund if it failed to achieve that goal. When we signed the contract, I told her there was only a slight chance she could get her ex-boyfriend back but she insisted.”

Perhaps she can use her newly improved social skills to nab a better man since she has learnt to be more mature now!
