A skill we often would love to acquire is the ability to learn a new language and master it enough to be able to converse or even sing in that language.

Recently, Malaysian superstar Yuna, took to Instagram to share that she has been learning Spanish as well as hint her interest in performing in Latin America.

In the short clip posted on Instagram, she said she has been learning for a month and proceeded to answer fan questions in Spanish. “Hi, good morning. Today, I want to practice speaking Spanish. It’s been 1 month (since) I’ve been learning Spanish, so ask me anything!”

She went on to share about her cats, and expressed her interest in performing in Mexico someday when she asked her manager if that can be arranged, he quipped in Spanish, “I’m sorry”.

This was not the first time Yuna has flaunted her multilingual abilities. In a post shared to Facebook as back in 2020, she performed a cover of ‘Avientame’ by Los Invasores de Nuevo Leon.

Such fluency!

The clip has gone viral and many of her fans praised her for being able to quickly grasp of the language, and showed their eagerness to see her sing a Latin song in the future.

“May you master Spanish language and produce songs in Spanish.”

Meanwhile, some users said that Yuna has inspired them to pick up the language and learn it fully again.

“This actually inspires me to record my language learning progress after 1 year.”

Another said, “You inspire me to continue my lessons so that I can converse in Spanish too.”
