There are people in the world who love their pets so much, that they would treat them like people by taking them out like babies in strollers and celebrating milestones like birthdays.

Another example of this is the cat wedding that took place in Aden, Yemen, on Friday; June 17, 2022. Footage of the cat wedding have taken social media by storm, as it showcased an actual ceremony for the 2 feline pets.

In the video shared by the وجدي المزاحمي Twitter account, a person can be seen reciting a marriage contract while using an ink pad to take the cats’ footprints as a form of signature and consent. The organisers of the wedding ceremony even printed invitation cards and distributed them prior to the event.

While the two cats didn’t seem too happy about the ceremony and procedures, the people in attendance were certainly entertained as they cheered for the 2 felines.

Now that cat weddings appear to be a thing, perhaps we’ll see some happening in Malaysia soon?

Until then, you can check out the video of the ceremony here
