Come Monday, most of us will be complaining about the weekend being so short and that we don’t want to work. When the alarm rings, we snooze it and wish that our jobs were just to sleep. What if we tell you that it’s possible?

Sonno Malaysia, a local company specialising in mattresses has posted a job opening for professional snoozers! This has, of course, attracted the attention of many Malaysians and we’re sure you would want to know more as well. Without further ado, here are the details. And yes, this is real!

Position Offered: Sleep Executive (contract-based)

Duration: 100 nights

Reward upon completion: RM3,000

Date: 1st September – 10th December 2020

Place: Your own bedroom

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
  • Creative and can create content about own sleep habits
  • Proficient in social media

This job opening was created with an aim to help people sleep better. In order to achieve that goal, the sleep executive will have to sleep continuously on the Sonno Lite mattress for eight hours and then write reports on their sleeping experiences.

They will also have to track their sleep & provide data for analysis in addition to recording and documenting their journey twice weekly in 30-second videos.

Sonno will be providing the equipment (Sonno Lite mattress and pillow) and once done, the sleep executive can keep it! What a bargain! One single mattress costs more than RM1,000!

We reached out to Sonno Malaysia and they have told World of Buzz that only one candidate will be selected! They have also said that they will be shortlisting a few candidates and there will be an interview either through phone call or face-to-face. They confirmed that this position is open to Malaysians nationwide.
