Thanks to the quick action of the Thai police, a Malaysian girl was successfully rescued after she was accidentally locked in a car with a Malaysian registration plate. This incident occurred yesterday evening (15 September), in the border town of Sungai Golok, where countless Malaysians are crossing into Thailand for the holidays.

According to a report by Berita Harian, Sungai Golok District Officer, Supeeyan Daemokleng, shared that the child was left alone in the vehicle by her mother.

Child 1 1

“A team of police officers from the Sungai Golok Police Station rushed to the location after receiving an emergency call from the public. It took them more than 10 minutes to open the car door and rescue the child, who was then handed over safely to her mother,” he said.

Safety comes first

Supeeyan, who is also the Chairman of the Sungai Golok Narcotics Administration Centre, advised Malaysians who are visiting Thailand to always be careful, especially in maintaining the safety of their children and their families, to avoid unwanted incidents.

“I hope they will always be vigilant and prioritise their family’s safety while they are here,” he added.
